Property Tax

The Town of Tabiona's property tax rate varies from year to year based on property values and Town Council action; the current property tax rate for the year is .011761. Because property taxes are based on the location of the parcel being taxed and the various taxing entities levying a tax against that parcel, the total tax rate you see on your Property Tax Statement will vary.

For details regarding tax areas and tax rates, please visit the Utah Property Tax Division's website.  Tabiona Town residents will either have residence in taxing area 5.  Upon clicking on the previously provided link, find and click on the most up-to-date "Tax Rates by Area" report, find your county section, under which you will find the taxing areas.  The property taxes will be broken down by percentages per area.

Sales Tax

In addition to property taxes, the Town of Tabiona receives roughly 1.0% of all taxable sales within the Town. In the Town of Tabiona, the sales tax rate is broken down as follows:
 

  • 4.85% (State Sales & Use Tax)*
  • 1.00% (Local Sales & Use Tax)
  • 0.25% (County Option Sales Tax)
  • 0.25% (Transportation Infrastructure Tax)
  • 6.35% (Combined Sales Tax Rate)

*The tax on unprepared food and food ingredients is 3.0% statewide. This includes the state rate of 1.75%, local option rate of 1.0% and county option rate of 0.25%. For sales of residential energy, the combined rate is reduced by 2.85%.
 

Fees

In addition to property and sales taxes, the Town of Tabiona may collect fees for various services performed throughout the town.
